Every great journey begins with a single step, and for us, that step was launching The Sisons, our family’s official YouTube channel. As a family that loves to travel, inspire, and share our lives, we couldn’t have picked a more perfect setting for our first vlog than a staycation at Casa Del Cato in Mabalacat, Pampanga.

Not only was this trip about relaxation and quality time, but it was also a special celebration for our 2-year-old niece, Euni. With great food, refreshing pool dips, and fun-filled activities, this staycation became more than just a simple getaway—it was a moment worth capturing, sharing, and remembering.

Filming Our First Video: A Vlog-Style Family Moment

Starting The Sisons YouTube channel has been something we’ve been thinking about for a while. We already create content for Where in Pampanga, but this time, we wanted something more personal—a space where we could document the highlights of our lives, the simple joys of family, and the experiences that bring us closer together.

Of course, we had our share of funny behind-the-scenes moments. Luis, being the playful and adventurous kid he is, got his hands on our new action camera. He decided to test it by jumping and diving into the pool, giving us some unexpectedly cool shots! It was a fun and lighthearted way to break into the vlogging world, and honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better start.

Casa De Cato: The Perfect Venue for a Family Staycation

We were invited to stay at Casa De Cato to feature it on Where in Pampanga, and we were immediately impressed by its spaciousness and comfort. With five large rooms and plenty of event space, it was the perfect place for families and groups who want a private retreat.

As soon as we arrived, we knew it was going to be a relaxing and fun getaway. We were greeted by a huge swimming pool, which was an instant hit with the kids. To make it even more exciting, there were large-sized floaters, making the experience even more enjoyable.

The billiards table added a competitive edge to our bonding moments, while the large living room with a big TV gave us the perfect spot for a cozy family movie night. It was in these simple, undistracted moments that we felt truly connected as a family.

Euni’s 2nd Birthday Celebration: A Feast of Love

Beyond the staycation, the real highlight of the trip was celebrating Euni’s 2nd birthday. We didn’t go overboard with decorations or games, but we made sure to prepare lots of delicious food for everyone to enjoy. After all, good food and good company are the best ingredients for a memorable celebration.

Seeing Euni smile and enjoy the day made the entire experience even more special. There’s something beautiful about celebrating milestones surrounded by family, and we’re grateful that we got to document it for her to look back on someday.

This trip and our first vlog reaffirmed something that has always been close to my heart: Life’s best moments deserve to be remembered.

I’ve always loved content creation, but this time, it felt more personal. It wasn’t just about showing a beautiful place—it was about preserving moments, documenting our family’s journey, and sharing stories that hopefully inspire others to do the same.
